Hello everyone. Another short and sweet update on Gigaloch and the build
The mole plough operator has been given a full final survey of the areas this week, the main spine will begin to be installed next week (w/c 21st Dec) if the weather is kind Gigaloch plan to install 14km of fibre spine in that week.
Home installations will continue to run in parallel with the spine install with 15 planned in for this week.
Gigaloch continue to work with local landowners to agree wayleaves. The agreements in place already are just amazing and show the level of community spirit and commitment from the local landowners we have in our area. I can't thank you all enough.
Residents with interest continue to come into both myself and Gigaloch via email or the websites. I believe that seeing the vans around the area and the work they are undertaking is drawing some attention.
The local Parish Councils have now delivered their newsletters which have details of the work we are doing. Much interest has come from these newsletters and just show how important these are to getting news of all types to the communities.
Some residents may have notice the large Christmas tree located on the car park of Ashton Hayes Village Hall. This was kindly donated and illuminated by Gigaloch.
This will be my last update before Christmas and I'd like to take this time to thank everyone for their support over the last 7 years. I would also like to wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year.
