Openreach Fit and Test

Hello everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful Jubilee weekend.

I wish to give you a brief update on what is currently going on regards the build.

As you know the fibre has been installed in the cabinet and back to the exchange. Gigaloch were awaiting an Openreach team from 'Fit & Test' to attend to install the ONT (Optical Network Terminal) in the cabinet and test the connection to the exchange.

A date was set for the 30th of May 2022.

As it turns out. Fit & Test are two different sides of the same Openreach coin and one does not talk to the other.

Test arrived in good time to carry out their side of the job only to find that Fit had not been to do their part leaving test with nothing to do.

Needless to say this was rather frustrating for the Gigaloch team.

Contact has been made once more with the Openreach team and they plan to return 'within 2 weeks' to Fit & Test.

Oh dear me...

That's all I have right now but will be sure to update you as things change or not I suppose in the coming weeks.
